Right now, my mother is in the hospital again. Another small stroke while she’s in Mississippi. She stopped her medications when she left the assisted living community in Kentucky. My brother and my ex-stepmother have torn up their power of attorney because my mother refuses to listen to them or anyone. They are just finding out what I’ve been dealing with for years. I was the firewall they sat behind and muttered about what a crazy bitch I was. Now they’re apologetic as they tell me they can’t do this anymore.
